Ian Robin is focused on the expansion of HootSuite's Enterprise business across Europe, The Middle East & Africa. He is an accomplished social and technology professional, with over 20 years experience in management and strategy, channel development, and international sales. Robin started the Skype Business Division, joining Skype as a Director in May 2008 where he outlined the strategy, recruited the team, built necessary partnerships and successfully launched the business offering. He was also a key player in business strategy for Skype including their sale to Microsoft in late 2011.

Previous to his time at Skype, Robin founded Identology, a biometric security firm focused on fingerprint readers, iris scanners and voice recognition systems, which was later sold. Robin spent his early industry years at TechData as a Business Manager in the Networking and Communications Division.
